Kurssit

It is an introductory course in speaking, understanding, reading and writing Chinese characters. Students are expected to achieve control of the pronunciation system, to gain the ability to communicate in the Chinese language for daily activities and also to be able to read and write Chinese characters. The goals are reached through classroom drill and recitation, discussion of grammatical patterns, conversation practice and skits performing. Students will also get to know Chinese culture and customs.

Esitietovaatimukset/Prerequisites

No preliminary knowledge in Chinese is required.

Osaamistavoitteet/Learning outcomes

During this course, students are expected to achieve control of the pronunciation system (especially 4-tones), basic grammar, basic sentence patterns, aural comprehension, and simple daily conversations.

60 hours contact teaching and 79 hours students’ homework.
